Clinics & Services

MSK specialist - this is a new role at the practice to cater for all joint and muscle pain (neck, shoulder, back, knee, ankle etc). Please book directly into this clinic if you are over 16 as the referral pathway, if needed, is quicker than if you see a GP

New Patient Medical - it is practice policy that all our new patients have a health check with our healthcare assistant or one of the practice nurses so that we have some background information on you and your health status.

NHS Health Checks - some patients aged over 40 who have certain medical conditions are entitled to a check up performed by a trained health care professional.  Ask at reception for an appointment.

Minor Surgery - we provide a full range of minor surgical procedures in our modern treatment room.  These include removal of lumps and bumps, joint injections, cryotherapy (freezing) for skin problems and verrucae.  Ask the doctor for details.

Child Immunisation - in association with the Local Health Authority, we hold baby and toddler immunisation clinics 2 mornings a week.

Adult Immunisation - we give tetanus and polio boosters which cover you for 10 years.  Also we offer a ‘flu’ vaccination especially to ‘at risk’ patients from October every year.  Details of when the Flu Clinics are to be held will be advertised in the surgery  and locally, and also put on repeat prescriptions.  Pneumonia vaccinations are available all year round.

Travel Immunisation - if you intend to go abroad on holiday or on business, you may need the protection of travel vaccinations.  Book your appointment with the nurse for a travel vaccination appointment, if possible 6 weeks before departure.  We hold a stock of vaccines in the surgery.

Diabetic Clinic - we hold a regular clinic for supporting diabetic patients.  Ask at reception.
